Well, comprehensive insurance mentality doesn’t exist for nothing, but I didn’t even have a chainsaw at home. Above all, it was only one option.

What does that have to do with comprehensive insurance mentality and whether I have a chainsaw at home? Boy, oh boy... I can saw firewood into smaller pieces myself; disposing of the small branches is the bigger problem. Then nobody wants to do the work, saying “that can be done for free anyway.”

Having a bad day or what's going on? I just gave you a tip on how to get rid of the trees if the insurance doesn't pay, and now have a nice day.

Yes exactly ....

I find this "full coverage mentality" quite cheeky, what is that supposed to mean? And if you think about the so super helpful "tip," you should come to realize yourself that it's nonsense. The two trees (conifers = rather poor firewood) might provide about €300 worth of firewood, which the "gifted" ones then have to saw into pieces and haul away themselves, of course people then also dispose of the entire branches (2-3 van loads) .... nobody moves willingly for that nowadays .... with such an offer on e*Kleinanzeigen, I would only make a fool of myself. Or I have the "I make good prices for everything" faction standing in the yard. I once tried to find garden help, the very first person was a hit and wanted to make me a great offer to paint the roof tiles (actually I was looking to get the garden tidied up), apparently it was a side business next to collecting scrap.

And two fallen trees already leave quite a bit of field damage, so my concern that hopefully the insurance will cover everything is understandable. It's still annoying, on one side I had a small "forest" and I had already cut down 2 trees there at the neighbor’s urging (you wouldn’t believe how the garden looks afterwards). The firewood is still lying unsorted on the meadow. I took over the house with another fallen tree, which lay chopped for 2 years on the meadow (and was completely overgrown). Eventually I just wanted to make it look nice ....

Well, it will probably take a while.
