High-speed motors are great. Every electric drive has an external switch contact. There is no direct app connection, but there are many manufacturers who connect via the external contact and a WiFi module with the usual assistants.

Simply take a Supramatic E4 or P4 depending on the gate area and don't worry too much. Whether there is an app, you can easily google that yourself. Setting up multiple accounts in forums also works.

Otherwise, a simple switching contact to control the drive of course cannot determine where the gate actually is. For that, you need sensors at the top and bottom or an interface that can provide real feedback. But you don't have that because no KNX, so "only" contacts and sensors. What Homee can do in this context has not interested me so far.
