Replace switch with light - wiring

Hello,

I am currently renewing all switches and sockets. So far, this is not a problem and works smoothly.

Only the switch in the bathroom puzzles me.

Attached is a photo of the old switch and the new one.
L is clear. However, the new one does not have an N like the old one.
L is also the live wire, I have checked that.

No matter if I connect blue or brown on the right or left, when I operate the switch, the fuse blows.

Does anyone have a tip?

The two-way switch does not get a neutral or an earth, only the lamp does. The question is, do you need a two-way switch? It looks like only one light is to be switched on/off...

A two-way switch controls a lamp from two switches. That is not the case here. This is a normal switch, meaning one switch one lamp.

So far, that is not a problem and works smoothly.

You don’t have either one. You have the 5036 from Kopp. Get one of the other two and just connect it again, then it should work. The only difference is the neon lamp in red or white.

Do you always connect blue AND brown together on the left or right?

A short circuit between L and N clearly causes the fuse to blow…

Leave out blue (N) at the switch.
