we also built very high compared to some neighbors. no problem at the authorities. the landscaper of course recognized the height and immediately said that it would be more expensive due to adding more fill material. he initially left out the last 2 meters to the street and only filled with recycling so that we can go up/down. he adjusted the height so that it will later fit with the street. that is clearly also his job, especially since NOBODY currently knows the final height of the street (authorities don’t know, nothing is stated in the plan). according to various statements, it should be about 5-10cm higher than now, which would fit perfectly for us. (located 3 meters from the street about ~15cm higher) the landscaper must of course prepare it in such a way that everything doesn’t have to be redone later. in the worst case, he takes up a few rows of stones and lays them down again. but that can’t cost 2000€ but rather about ~15€/sqm. for a usual 2-car driveway 6 meters wide, that’s 100€ per meter to the back. since the last 2-3 meters are missing anyway, you can relatively quickly adjust the slope and that’s fine. and at 2-300€ you keep the cost low.
