Hello everyone,
I still have to think about the Scout ID, don’t want someone to snatch the house away from me? :-D But of course with the few information here no one can advise me... too bad that I can’t send private messages, from how many posts is that possible? Demolition is not an option for us because we find the house quite cute.. I think we are more like "punk types" and not "typical" single-family new-build people (if such a thing exists ;-)).. I’m not bothered that all the rooms are small, the bathroom is old.. Apart from heating and insulation and stuff (that’s a must within 2 years after ownership changes, right?) we would only redo floors, remove wallpaper and smooth plaster, possibly remove the wall between dining room and living room if it’s not load-bearing (there is a door there), and of course put in a kitchen (if our one-year-old kitchen doesn’t fit, then a new one). We don’t need floor-to-ceiling windows, an island kitchen, jacuzzi in the bathroom, etc. If we ever had too much money, I’d love a fireplace :-D I want chickens and sheep for mowing the lawn :-D But constantly something broken, wet, moldy, asbestos, etc. would be bad.. but for that a surveyor beforehand.. We could drive up beginning/mid December.. Do realtors already tell you on the phone what is on page 4 of the energy certificate, or is that a “suspicious” question on the phone? Of course, I care about what has to be done energetically, I assume the current owners have been living there since before 2002.. Thanks for your help!
