Hello,

since I have always received very, very good advice and help here so far, I wanted to ask you again :-)
The two-family house is (soon) purchased and a bathroom is to be renovated.
Unfortunately, the shower cannot be made larger because of the bathtub next to it.

For this reason, a similar shower enclosure as it currently is would have to go there.
Does this type have a special name?

I can also explain it difficultly. The side towards the bathtub ends at the top of the tub and the second part runs to the shower tray. Therefore, attached is a photo.

Maybe someone has a tip.

Best regards

This installation situation occurred or occurs quite frequently. Have a look under "Duschkabine mit verkürzter Seitenwand". It can be custom-made by quite a few suppliers.

Great, thank you very much. Sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees.
Let's see if it is possible to build the whole thing in such a way that a "standard size" can be used and no custom fabrication is required.

We bought an inexpensive swinging door online years ago. We got the shortened glass part from Sprinz with a strip for connection. I don’t remember the exact price, but it wasn’t expensive and my husband was able to install it himself.

The question is, how much do you want to renovate?

Tearing everything out and starting fresh definitely offers many more possibilities than just removing the old cabin, putting in a new one - done.

Would you like to reveal more about the project, upload more pictures and the floor plan? (I unfortunately cannot give bathroom design tips, but I always like to read along to learn :))

I will try to make a floor plan on the computer tomorrow, it's difficult on the phone. Basically, the entire bathroom is to be renovated. So tiles out and sanitary fixtures new. We might want to reuse the old bathtub. The shower tray should be shallower than it is now. It can (or rather the plumbing guy) certainly only be decided once the old tub is out, because it is a house built with timber frame construction, also on the 1st floor. For cost reasons, pipework should be replaced as little as possible, therefore basically no new room layout.
