Do this only if you know a tiler or are sure about it. We did it too because we didn’t find anything at the tile dealer where we were supposed to buy, that matched what I had imagined. It wasn’t even about the price, I just wanted something Mediterranean. There wasn’t any. We had a commitment, so we removed the service from the general contractor. Unfortunately, the tiler then canceled 2 months later. And then I searched, asked friends, made calls, posted on MyHammer... That cost nerves. And I only wanted the guest toilet and bathroom tiled. In the end, I found someone who tiled the guest toilet not very well in the week before moving in, so I didn’t let him do the bathroom. And someone who tiled the bathroom in the week after moving in, who was luckily better.

How do you come to 18,000€?

Yes, I would have 2 tilers on hand.

Because it would cost about €120 / m² for installation .. Without tiles

I did it back then. In the end, it ended up costing more, the schedule was at risk, and it was just trouble. Of course, this is a single experience; it might be that you have better results with it.

In Saxony, does tiling already cost €120/sqm?! Omg, what will it cost then in Berlin? I can't find anyone either. Even the one from the contractor no longer responds. Ah, in the end I'll have to do it myself. It won't look good and probably won't be much cheaper than if I had included it in the contract from the very beginning...

I understood the price to refer to slim large format tiles. If you have to do it yourself, I would strongly advise against using at least such formats; also avoid qualities where waste immediately causes heavy losses.
