Yes, I have my doubts about hygiene with the 2.5m long hose.

A water connection directly next to the refrigerator is not possible because of the cabinets

Why? Whether the water is in a permanently installed pipe or in a hose, it doesn’t matter. Depending on the diameter, the hose has the advantage that it contains less water and thus the water is replaced faster. And you can also replace it if it gets "grimy."

When installing a new kitchen in shell construction, it shouldn't be a problem, nor should it explicitly be more expensive to install a tap.

This water tank... well, but if I can plan it, I find a fixed connection more hygienic.

In our case, the filter is in the door and every 6 months it complains (700 liters).
