well.
how much water is in a 2.5m hose, 70-100ml?
That means every time you fill it, you change the water, regardless of whether the hose is 1m or 4m long.
I would never take a refrigerator with a tank again. If already a water connection, then fixed water supply.

Only ice cubes is of course something different.....

Why? Whether the water is in a permanently installed pipe or in a hose, it doesn’t matter. Depending on the diameter, the hose has the advantage that it contains less water and thus the water is replaced faster. And you can also replace it if it gets "grimy."

What would be important to me is easy access for filter replacement, e.g., under the sink cabinet in the plinth area. If you have to pull out the fridge every time, it is 1. annoying 2. you just don't do it

When installing a new kitchen in shell construction, it shouldn't be a problem, nor should it explicitly be more expensive to install a tap.

This water tank... well, but if I can plan it, I find a fixed connection more hygienic.

In our case, the filter is in the door and every 6 months it complains (700 liters).

And that’s exactly why I keep saying ... just show the plan, then there might be a sensible idea
