I hope the architect can give us recommendations about the size of the windows and thus also the casings.

The golden ratio is a good idea - I would apply it, however equally for all window formats. That means, related to a "guiding" window format, e.g. m:M x 1/4 of the width (in the example 19 cm with a raw wall width of 126).

I calculated it independent of the wall thickness, using the example of a standard size (= most common, defining) window with a rough construction width of 126 = finished 123 cm. I quartered this width, which multiplied by 0.618034 gives about 19 cm. No magic.
