Hello,

we also considered implementing fascias on our house. Why shouldn't they just be "painted on"?

There will also be (modern) cassette-look interior doors & kitchen fronts, but we will probably skip the front door and casement windows. We hope to achieve a good mix between classic, country house, and modern.

We faced the same problem with our new building. Shutters were too expensive or too complicated. So I quickly made frames out of Styrofoam boards, put reinforcing mesh on them, and plastered them. It’s still holding up.

Bonds, however, belong "inside" otherwise they would be pilasters (-; Please make sure that they are made thicker at the bottom of the window so that it looks visually correct since the windowsill is usually still in between ...

The casings are the same width/thickness at the height of the window and do not get wider towards the bottom?!

I think we are talking about different things here .... The bottom line / edge must be wider on the standard aluminum windowsill ... if it is as wide as on the left, right, top and the windowsill visually covers 3 cm of the 8 cm, it looks bad
