I would definitely recommend a company that is located nearby. We haven't even started building yet, and there are already problems. The company we chose is from far away, and at this point, I would not choose them again. We had previously looked at a house they built, and it was really very good, which influenced our decision. But the planning is a disaster. I only found out who the architect would be after signing the contract. He is 700 km away from us, was on the construction site with us once for about half an hour (at most), and we discussed the rest over coffee at our place. Now there are problems, and he doesn't come here. Today someone told me: "Your architect is useless!" We only communicate via phone or email. In the end, everyone who warned against such a company and believed you should build with a local contractor was right. And such a person was my Plan B. I could be very angry. People - don't make such a mistake!
