That will have to be well thought out. My family is already complaining about the one staircase they have to climb. I always laugh inwardly when I remind my wife that she initially preferred a semi-detached house with 3 floors. But sure, if you don't have the ground area, then you build upwards.

... that they are allowed to walk. That is a well-made staircase.

Yes, exactly! But there will still be complaints! Because the staircase doesn’t carry you up, you have to use your legs yourself. The better is always the enemy of the good. So next it will probably be a bungalow after all.

Then there will be whining about the long distances when doing the gardening… I know that ;) …with the whining. But by now you appreciate what you have

We had 4 floors with stairs and were in great shape, now in the bungalow you become lazy, fat, and old. Your wife should thank you for keeping a sporty, toned figure for life.

Honestly, we haven't really discussed the equity in detail yet. We are unsure whether we should keep the saved money in the account for emergencies or include it in the financing. There is also an inheritance coming, which is not insignificant, but it is not due yet. Fortunately. That's why we also applied for financing with the bank without equity, and according to the bank's initial calculation, it is even possible without equity. But I think when it comes to financing, I would open a separate thread.
