Raised terrace with L-stones / corner stones - How to implement the slope?

Especially you in Berlin wouldn’t have to, since it is only mandatory from 1 m there. But in the end, everyone has to decide for themselves according to the circumstances.

Oh, I totally messed up the required height of the window sills in my head. It even says "more than 1m." So at exactly 1m it would still be possible without a railing, which I would find slightly negligent. But okay. As I said, I find your idea with the slope/stepping much more interesting anyway. Or if that's not possible due to lack of space, then just put planter boxes along the edge of the terrace, that also disguises the step.

Do you want to leave the L stones visible? I would (if there is enough space) fill in soil sloping on the outside and create a great rock garden or several steps made of stones with plants. That way you can also conceal the drop (ground cover). And you wouldn’t need a railing either (which I wouldn’t install anyway at 80 cm).

We don’t want a railing. It just doesn’t fit and we want free access to the garden. A roof will be put on the terrace later.
Stepping is of course an option. I was hoping for something a bit more "invisible."
