...I had previously installed a suspended ceiling in the bathroom and installed 2 white car speakers there. In a niche behind a slatted roller blind, the washing machine was hidden with 2 shelves in between. The CD radio was then placed there.

Something actually came out of it!

The socket radios sounded like nothing.

Nowadays a new bathroom. The speaker from the phone sounds at least as good as the socket radios.

But with a Bluetooth speaker it's great and it just sits around anyway:

Lying in the bathtub, I put the tablet in a stand and watch internet TV or YouTube.

Basically, such stuff is at home in almost every household...

I also belong to the generation that grew up back then without the -ich sach ma neumodischem Zeug-. I wouldn't need that in the bathroom either, but my wife, who can lie in the tub for hours, thinks that's pretty cool.
Now she has a Bose SoundLink Mini II, she can also make phone calls and watch movies on the tablet, well, neumodisches Zeug, after all.
Well, I understand when special requests are made. Actually, my beloved KVA (coffee machine) broke down just last week... a catastrophe!!!
I always wonder how I could have lived without this technical gimmick before.

Oh dear I sympathize!
Before my KVA, I brewed coffee! With a Melitta porcelain filter!
I still do that when a lot is needed at once.
I no longer drink that slop from a regular machine!

Swill? I haven’t tried a fully automatic machine yet that comes close to a filter coffee. Mind you, a completely normal, black coffee - nothing specialty.

I love my now almost 15-year-old coffee machine from Siemens/Porsche, which brews Extra-Heiss.
