We have installed something like this - best purchase ever
The brand is from the switch manufacturer: small, practical, a box underneath, good sound.
I can’t imagine watching TV in the bathroom or in the morning, although we regularly watch a lot of TV.

Yes, but you shouldn't expect miracles. The sound is okay, but I'm missing some depth – although that might also come from the Gira radio. Let's see how it sounds in the parents' bathroom, but for that, I still need to install the system downstairs.

I had also read on Amazon about the combination of Gira with Visaton DI-8 or 10. I think I will keep that in mind, thank you.

I was recently shown a radio by the electrician, also by the switch manufacturer. It is installed in a double frame, the upper area for control, the lower area a speaker. Allegedly, this system uses the entire house's power grid as an antenna and thereby has a great reception. I suspect this is exactly what you are talking about here.

I will test the sound before I decide. However, I don't expect much, it doesn't need to be anything big. In the morning while getting ready or in the evening in the bathtub, it doesn't have to be loud booming sound.

We are also typical radio listeners. TV runs only in the evenings, but radio basically at any other time. Currently still via smartphone with radio app, but such an [UP-Radio] for bathroom and kitchen is currently part of our considerations.

Hello,

My question was a bit exaggerated anyway. Anyway, I also treat myself to at least one luxury, but not in the bathroom. I occasionally ride a two-stroke motorcycle as a hobby. And it definitely wastes fuel[1]. Oh yes, almost “forgot”: in our current garden there is a barrel sauna with an electric stove. That takes about 11 kW of electricity. So: everyone should be allowed to have a small (retreat) place of “irrationality.” I even find that very important. No hard feelings, Kermit

[1] just to give an idea of the magnitude: over 4 liters of gasoline per 100 km, while the bike weighs only 170 kg empty but almost reaches 125 km/h. That consumption is worthy of a modern car. However, my annual mileage with two wheels remains quite limited. Such a bike just gives me fun, others just bathe for a long time. Although cold bathing also works on the motorcycle

We decided on Raumfeld from Teufel. A "One S" will be used in the bathroom. Alternatively, you can take a look at Sonos.
