We have friends who have recently gotten an elevated kitchen bar like that. When you sit for a really cozy dinner (as is common in France) for two or three hours, every bone aches and you hate it because you can only keep your feet in one position. So in the long run, it's terribly uncomfortable. If it's just for a quick meal in between, it probably works.

We have a similar little table in our kitchen, but it is "lowered" compared to the countertop. It is partially screwed to the cabinet and the wall with brackets, and there is an adjustable foot in the front. You can sit there with 3 (or in a pinch 4) people on completely normal chairs. We've already had a few nice kitchen parties there, for example with [Flammkuchen], which were put into the oven one after the other and immediately shared.

If that's something you care about: we have a Bosch oven that goes up to 300 degrees, great for pizza, [Flammkuchen], etc.

Best regards, Wolfgang

So I agree with the thing about the table. Ideally, one should be able to sit at it with regular chairs. Regarding the oven, I have a pizza/flammkuchen wood-fired oven. I wanted to get the oven from Neff. I simply find the slide and hide system brilliant. Best regards Saschmax

Yes, I have had a Neff with a retractable door in my Ikea kitchen for about three-quarters of a year as well. So far, I am totally impressed, I can only recommend it.

Outside? I've thought about that too, but at our place it would be used too rarely. Flammkuchen is more of an autumn thing for us, and if I really want to bake pizza outside, it works quite well on the grill.

Yes, outside. I don’t use it all that often either. But it didn’t cost much since I made it myself. ;) So it’s not a big deal if it’s not running all the time. Best regards, Saschmax
