With small tasks like cutting grooves, you won't save much. The electrician does that in one, maybe two days for large houses. Considering the tools you would have to borrow, you would save only a few hundred EUR but be occupied for days. You will think about every groove, the electrician just does it because he has done it a thousand times before...

And then you also have the problem that all services build upon each other. If you fall behind schedule, the craftsman cannot keep his appointments, fixed prices expire, etc.

No, that was then misleading. In June, I romantically considered realizing a kind of tiny house with my husband. Watched too much YouTube ;). It talked about doing it ourselves. Now I am talking about the maximum possible amount of our own work, but not a complete renovation. Installing windows in the tiny house (which we once did and which cost us a lot of nerves) is a completely different matter compared to a single-family house with about 140 sqm.

The thing with chasing slots is interesting. So far, we have always made the slots ourselves (or the people who renovated in my environment). So we have the tools for it. But I didn’t know that in terms of effort it is not really worth it. We will check again with the appropriate craftsmen exactly what we can actually save in the end.

Otherwise, we would have to walk along this narrow path from the car every time to get to the entrance. The house is oriented in such a way that you actually reach the main entrance via a footpath and without a parking space on the property. That makes sense if everyone mostly gets around without a car, but today that is impractical.
