It does not look exactly the same, but it is 90% similar to it.

Now these ones can be bought again, so I see that as the path of least resistance and also the cheapest. Look on the big online auction site, you can get them for under 100...

I will take a look on eBay... but you won’t have any warranty there anymore, right?

You can’t adjust anything on our box in the basement. There are no buttons at all to get into that mode?

Hello, my husband also took another look at the system in the basement, but he also sees no possibility to adjust anything there. We can't find those buttons that would be necessary at all, there is absolutely nothing corresponding.

We also received an offer from the technician:

A control unit MC110 RC310 BRM 10 Set conversion kit with 7-pin burner plug, storage connection set AS1 with hot water temperature sensor and connection plug, small parts flat rate, installation, Buderus Logamatic BC30 E boiler display for Logamatic MC 110 (display for room mounting set). All together for 1242 euros including VAT.

I continue to understand the technician as saying that we currently have no possibility at all to adjust anything on the heating system, be it operation by time or special temperature settings, water temperature, etc., and that it is not good to have no control over the heating at all.

What I do not understand, however, is why we MUST renew the system after 30 years? Do we definitely have to? I can't find anything about this, and I understood the chimney sweep as saying that with good maintenance and a bit of luck, we can still enjoy the heating system for a long time. The heating system is now 23 years old, the burner was just replaced, we would replace the control now, but if we have to throw everything out in 7 years at the latest, I find just under 1300 euros a bit much?

The replacement of constant temperature boilers that are older than 30 years is mandatory. The decisive factor is the year of manufacture of the heat exchanger. However, some over-30 heating systems may continue to operate.

Those who lived in their own single-family or two-family house before February 1, 2002, are exempt from the replacement obligation. The same applies to systems in multi-family houses with a nominal output of more than 400 kilowatts, small systems with a nominal output of less than 4 kilowatts as well as all condensing and low-temperature boilers.
Do you perhaps already have a condensing boiler?

Hm, good question. Should that be stated there?

The house was built in 1995 and always used privately as a home by the then owners, we signed the notarized purchase agreement in 2016 and have been living here since 2017, exclusively private use.

Are we then exempt?
