Problems with BEHJÄLPLIG

The door is perfectly flush, closing wonderfully with the adjacent door both at the top and bottom. The depth also fits perfectly. So I wouldn’t know what I could have installed incorrectly at the bottom. Really strange.

Hello, I suspect it is not an XXL appliance as opposed to Jelimi's machine. For a dishwasher with a standard height of about 82 cm, the distance between the pivot point of the dishwasher door and the cabinet door is greater. This also increases the angle of intersection of the planes in which the two doors lie. Consequently, with a dishwasher of standard height, the gap at the top when opening is smaller than with an XXL. However, Behjälplig is also intended for standard dishwashers.
(The sale of BEHJÄLPLIG was certainly not discontinued without reason.)
If I have identified the correct cause, at the moment I see lowering the machine and filling the space between the dishwasher and the countertop with a strip as the only solution.

Exactly, it is not an XXL appliance. Earlier, as you suggested, I almost fully lowered the dishwasher. And indeed, the scraping on the rail is no longer present. It’s not a nice solution and now Behjälplig makes other strange noises when opening (only in the last 10°-15°). But at least the door now opens and closes without problems. In other kitchens, the front is simply mounted directly onto the door, without a rail system. I guess that’s not possible with an Ikea kitchen because the baseboard is lower than in other kitchens?

That is not possible because at 80 cm the front cannot swing far enough under the dishwasher. It should also be possible to raise the lower pivot point of the front when the feet are screwed out, but only to the extent that the front can still swing under the appliance. That would mean setting the axles and brackets 5 cm higher. If I have not thought incorrectly.

Actually, this is a new insight for us:

Behjälplig is not suitable for non-XXL devices!

Until now, I have always assumed that Behjälplig can be used regardless of the dishwasher type.
