Hello!
I have already heard various opinions on the topic, from 'always prime', to 'it depends', to 'definitely not', and I am now quite unsure ... Now I am curious which opinion predominates here.
It is clear that the new screed must first dry properly before laying the tiles; it still has a certain (allowed) residual moisture. And because of this, some believe that it is better to skip the priming, as otherwise there could be problems with it. But the screed will probably continue to dry over time; can this then have negative effects on the tile adhesive and cause the tiles to loosen later, or is this only relevant at the time of installation?
And if it is better to prime after all, is simple primer (on an even floor) sufficient? Or should it be something special?
Best regards
