As a rule of thumb, you can manage 1 kWp per 5 sqm. The problem is that modules either fit completely or not at all. You just have to take a look at it. Roof load is another issue; in case of doubt, you need to be able to support both photovoltaics and snow. It’s not a bad idea though; I will definitely order my carport with increased roof load and use it as a photovoltaic reserve when the electric car comes.

I think it should be almost 6x6, so 5 kWp should definitely come out of it. If I google the yield and compare it with our electricity consumption, there would still be plenty of room for a heat pump and an electric car. The roof load should actually not be a problem. It is very solidly built by the carpenter. Since we are back here in this thread, I also have a new photo of the formerly beech stairs-white walls hallway: The walls are now almost finished, and the difference from before (see earlier in the thread) is really amazing. I am so glad we did that. PS: I actually painted around our power strips. Firstly because I didn’t feel like buying and placing 21 new strips, secondly because in my experience they unfortunately don't stick to fairly new wall paint. I don’t know how old paint has to be, but with us they stick very well on the “old” walls and unfortunately not on the fresh ones; a small picture frame came down again after about 24 hours.
