Yes, I saw that on the website when ordering, totally crazy what you can do with it! I will definitely do one or two more painting projects, it was really fun. Before, I had only painted a dresser with chalk paint once, but it is really easy.

What can chalk paint do differently on furniture compared to regular matte paint? Chalk paint is expensive… maybe a bit overhyped for furniture? I have been painting furniture from time to time for 25 years, the worst result was 2 years ago with chalk paint (was not eggshell)

I can't answer that for you because I have no point of comparison. I think other products achieve at least equally good or even better results - a painter would probably have sanded, primed, painted several times, sealed - but the attractive thing about the chalk paint is that you can almost just "slap it on" anywhere and it sticks. This also makes it very easy for absolute beginners and the time required is also less, since sanding and priming are usually omitted.

One more idea that can be worthwhile over 15 years: a photovoltaic system on the roof. Typically fill it all up. The investment will have paid off by then, and you will definitely get a good chunk of your investment back in the selling price. This also helps to better utilize a heat pump investment (if considered).

Hey, thanks for your response. Unfortunately, our roof is completely shaded by the neighbor's oak tree. We already had a solar consultation, and it came out that it doesn't make sense on the roof. However, we now have a double carport, and the consultant said at that location it would work well. But I don't know how the yield on that area would be with today's technology. It would only be about 36sqm of space, so whether it pays off, we would need to get advice on that again. But we will definitely do that, because photovoltaic is also on our wish list. I also think it makes absolute sense if later an electric car and heat pump need to be supplied.
