Except for mirrors and lights, we actually have everything. But as you already said, that's rare, so it's hard to use as a comparison.

When I saw how my specialist company installed the 100x120cm shower into the 100x117cm opening, I was very glad to have chosen it. ;) The extra charges for sanitary installations always really annoyed me. Not that it’s any different in other trades, but when browsing for nice toilets and furniture you can directly see the prices like in no other trade.

I just wonder where the money ends up. If I have a plumber who does great work and the sink costs 750 € with him instead of 500 €, that's one thing. But if this stupid bathroom studio pockets the 250 €, is quite incompetent, and says with every second item that they don’t have it on display and then shoves catalogs in your face, then I don’t give them a cent.

Well, the manufacturers are very happy to play along - everyone can, for example, plan/play around with Geberit Pro Planner. There, Geberit immediately suggests an offer price, separated by material and labor time (can also be output with your own letterhead, nicely sorted).

For example, ONE furniture base cabinet 500.386.01.1: Geberit calculation €3,540.15 gross (without assembly time: 8.0 minutes estimated). On the internet, about €1,375.00 gross (including shipping).

Admittedly, we will certainly need more than 8 minutes for the (self-)assembly, but compared to what you save overall....
