Positioning house/garage - south or west garden?

After a long search, we have found our plot in a new development area.
Planned is a two-story house without a basement with 200 sqm and a double garage or carport/garage combination.
The plot is 685 sqm in size and the floor area ratio is 0.3.
Light green is our plot with the marked setback areas. The north arrow is indicated.

I prefer to place the garage on the north boundary and align the house lengthwise to the street and locate the garden to the west.
Alternatively, the house could be rotated so that part of the garden lies to the south.

Any opinions? Did I forget any necessary information?

Uh, I don't quite understand your house plan. Is the drawn floor plan oriented to the north? And, just draw in what you want to do.

That would be my preferred position with the garden facing west. At the top, a north arrow is marked. In the second image, I have oriented the plan to the north, and in the third, I have sketched the house position with the garden facing south.

The more I think about it, the more I prefer the south version. Natural sunlight throughout the day in the living rooms & south-west terrace. However, I see as negative the orientation of the terrace towards the street running to the south (30 km/h zone) and that one will look at the neighbor's garage or fence from about 8 m away.

How about a garden design? Hedges and shrubs are supposed to provide both visual and noise protection, I've heard... after all, we're not exactly alone in the world ;)
