Good morning everyone,
first, some general information:
- Bad Segeberg, Schleswig-Holstein
- Timber frame construction + clinker facade
- KfW40+
- Ground slab 130 sqm - 25 cm waterproof concrete, strip foundation 90 cm, 12 cm perimeter insulation
There is probably still some information missing, I will provide it later
Last week, starting Monday, our ground slab was made, planned completion Wednesday. On Tuesday, due to a torn foil over the strip foundation, concrete apparently came up. This was corrected accordingly and preparations for the actual slab continued, but we were already told that there would no longer be enough time and the ground slab would be poured on Monday (25.05.2020).
This also happened in the morning, my father-in-law was on site and was able to somewhat observe the work while he was busy digging the soakaway pits. When I went to the construction site yesterday afternoon to check the result, I was somewhat negatively surprised. Now, I am not an expert but to me the ground slab looks poorly done and the occasional gravel pockets (I did not photograph all) do suggest that the compaction was not done thoroughly, right? The guys were/are actually scheduled for a construction site in Bielefeld and left immediately when they finished, so I also suspect time pressure here, overall they were on site for just over 2 hours.
I can gladly provide more pictures this evening, I am only interested in an initial opinion. The construction manager will come tomorrow for the acceptance.
Thanks in advance!
