Hello
I hope you have some knowledge of German law (tax)!!??
I was at a developer yesterday who told me that, from a tax perspective, there is hardly any difference between buying the land and then having a house built on it, and buying the land and house from a developer.
Until now, I believed: When buying land, I pay 3.5% land registry fees and 1.5% notary fees on it. If I then buy a house, I no longer have to pay these 5% on it.
However, the developer said that if only the house is built, 19% VAT would be charged.
Who knows about this and can clarify it for me??
