The pleated blinds are drilled according to the commonly known "VS2" system. The width of the pleated blinds must be really exact. We drilled because the drilling is 2mm, which can easily be removed with certain means or alternatively the reveal itself can simply be replaced (it's just the edge that holds the glass in the frame). Furthermore, pleated blinds easily last 10 years or longer and can be replaced again using the same system. So why not do it properly right away? Gluing only holds conditionally and up to a certain size. Once it tears off, that's it and you need a new adhesive part. For the extra cost, you can also buy a repair kit with which you can possibly (which never happens anyway) close the holes again.
So we agree that the pleated blinds are too wide? I share that opinion and find it looks terrible and like it was not done properly. You can expect more from a professional company. But it also adds to it that I am now tired of the excuses, and their boss fulfills some stereotypes of a Southeast European when it comes to material defects. I know that in the end nothing will come of it, even if I now open the can and report this defect to our construction company.
It's terrible here in Germany when people botch things...
