Which plan is actually finalized? Both are just standard, no consideration is given to "short distances" or anything else well thought out. I personally don't like these slanted walls at all. I don't like a residential complex with kitchen and dining area. It's all too restless for me, too unstructured, there is no space for the dining area and possibly the living room. It lacks coziness. I don't rate the bungalow that big that you can do without the long corridor. I really like the utility room with its L-shape. It can be nicely utilized.

.. the plan with the open kitchen is probably current. I asked about that too ;).

I wonder if you really need an angled bungalow here. Whether maybe a more elongated rectangular version could bring in more southern exposure and, by cleverly placing the garage, you could basically create an angle as well. Possibly at the expense of direct house access from the garage. But maybe also to the advantage that you don't always have to walk around the entire house to get to the storage space in the garage.

The question is also ... really 2 cars? What about bicycles? And still the question ... permanently 2 people? Children's rooms = offices, although the checklist doesn't specify office use... etc. But for that, would have to take another look ;).

One could consider placing the garage in the SW corner, opening the bungalow to the SW as well, so that a kind of courtyard is created here while simultaneously opening the house to the west. The entrance would then be in the north. This results in a short hallway. Spontaneously, I would rather sketch this out for myself. And if it is uncertain with children, then I find 2 children's rooms questionable. I expect from the BU to accommodate me somewhat. For myself, I expect some individuality and consideration of my needs.

Agree with Yvonne: Entrance in the north would also be my first choice.

Exactly the thoughts that Yvonne expressed went through my mind when I asked about the motives behind the angled bungalow etc. I might even tend towards an entrance in the west ... but, one would just have to get a few answers ;).
