Hi guys
I hope I can find a few people here who can help me with the planning of our carport.
We bought a house last summer. Next to the house is a 3-meter-wide driveway before the neighbor’s property begins. I want to build a carport there. I was thinking of an attached carport. I would also like one made of aluminum.
Is the offer even OK or should one invest more? Is there a general price limit for a decent carport? It feels like the offer is already scratching my pain threshold...
What I like is that it is made of aluminum and therefore maintenance-free/low-maintenance, that the downpipe and gutter are directly attached and so on... It seems like a good overall package to me.
The carport would stand northeast of the house. In my opinion, that is not the weather side. I don’t know the soil conditions very well. But I believe it is more clayey. A building permit should be possible since the previous owners of the house also had a carport at that spot. I would want to attach the side without legs to the house with the offered model because otherwise I would have concerns if it started to oscillate in the wind and knock against the house wall... But I also have absolutely zero knowledge of the whole matter...
Are there any specific things one still needs to watch out for?
I hope you can shed some light in the dark!
Thanks and regards,
