Yes, these are additional light inlets. I would install at least one daylight spotlight in the middle of the main room, maybe better two. The architect will determine the specifics for you. We were also once involved in the construction of a bungalow and the architect advised us to use the daylight spotlights. I thought that was really a good idea back then :). But I would never have come up with something like that on my own ;)

Can you show how you imagine the roof there? New England style and minimal roof pitch and then daylight spots ... somehow that doesn't seem compatible to me.

Certainly, no wall thicknesses are taken into account, that is not the point yet. It is more about the room layout and division. The thing with the guest WC is correct; he initially had it on the other side. I'll probably have to tweak it again. The garage also needs to be revised. After the first conversation with the architect, we will go with a 19-degree roof pitch, as no upper floor is planned. Max as a storage area. I first have to check if the spots are even possible. It may be that they are not compatible.

Yes! Because with you, some small corners or niches (cloakroom, WC) will simply be lost, you won't be able to place a bed in the bedroom anymore, or the dressing room will become as thin as a tube. If you plan these rooms realistically, you'll end up with a roughly twice as large living room :D
You can't "improve" anything this way!

You don't have to make (and keep) the biggest amateur mistake if you want to play architect.

If an architect is involved anyway, I would approach the whole thing differently. I would give the architect my requirements and have him plan it.

Understand your criticism. Put the pencil aside :) I have meanwhile made another draft. But it probably has the same mistakes. So I’ll spare you that :D. I will then upload the architect’s draft, then we’ll see :) Thanks anyway
