In every corner of the room a triple socket and you already have 12. That doesn't seem exaggerated to me now.

We also have a network connection in the children's rooms but I wouldn't be surprised if they are never used because that doesn't fit the devices and usage behavior at all.

We also avoided switchable sockets for the children. The furniture arrangement is too unpredictable for that and there are bedside lamps.

If it makes no difference in terms of cost whether a single, double, or triple socket is installed, I would do that as well. Otherwise, I am of the opinion that in a children's room, you can get by with significantly fewer sockets. As far as I have understood so far, it is precisely these "little things" that are a major cost driver.

Well, we have two places with LAN and triple sockets for PC/TV. And then a few double and single ones scattered around the room. We have only been living in the house for three months and have already rearranged the children's room once. But as long as there is no PC/TV yet, it's not a big deal!

Do not underestimate the LAN sockets in the children's room!

At the latest, when the first Playstation or the first gaming PC moves in, the LAN connection is chosen because of a significantly better PING! It doesn't matter whether the devices have built-in WLAN or not...

Just because, from a parent's perspective, you think LAN sockets in children's or youth rooms are pointless, doesn't automatically mean that this is the case...

Let's wait and see if in 10-15 years something like [Gaming-PC] or [Playstation] still plays a relevant role.. This has already changed extremely compared to my youth.

Good joke, the industry earns more than Hollywood. Recently I was at GameStop, full of girls! That never happened in my time, a whole new customer base. The next trend emerging is game streaming. That is even more latency-sensitive. LAN must-have!

Everyone around 13-14 years old had a 1.40m bed in our house. Quite normal imo.
