Hello dear community, does anyone of you have a carport with a masonry side wall? We would like to build one ourselves but still need some inspiration, and unfortunately, we can hardly find anything on Google. Maybe you also have tips on what to consider. Maybe someone of you already has experience with it.

At the house or freestanding?

On the border?

Individual or prefabricated carport?

Built of bricks or should it only be one wall?

Many are currently doing it out of concrete...

I mean exactly something like what Alessandro posted, only with the difference that it would be a two-layer masonry. In principle, it should be located on the boundary, i.e., 9.00 x 6.00 x 2.75 i.M. We would prefer a "lean-to carport" where the left side is brick-built and there is a brick-built storage space at the end of the garage. Basically, an open garage without a slab in the driving area. Prefabricated is out of the question, as we would like to do something like this ourselves with friends individually, and concrete doesn't match our house.

Do you mean a brick facing like in this thread?

I’ll translate: the carport (with enclosed annex) should stand between the house and the neighbor boundary, directly adjacent to both, with the wall on the neighbor side and leaning against the house; only the annex should have a concrete slab, the cars, I assume, should stand on the paving. Keep in mind the average height of the neighbor-side wall of max. 3.00 meters (Caution: NOT measured from the current finished ground level!).

Yes, exactly in principle as you described it. I hadn’t considered the choice of [Riemchen] at all. Dimensions, drawn wall structure, etc. can be ignored for now but approximately as shown in the images below. Of course, we want to utilize the maximum driveway width, [Riemchen] would probably be suitable, wouldn’t they, 11.5 or 17.5 KS or PPW with [Riemchen] (approx. 2 cm)? We would probably use this for the entire carport.

To the second question: yes
