Thank you. Either way, the house would not replace the fence, but would stand "directly at the fence." Storing things there would probably cause more displeasure with the neighbor, because he would then be looking at stones and wood, but of course it is an option, if necessary with privacy screening at the fence.

then probably rather 80 cm. 50 cm would also work, but then it's more like a "crawl space" with hardly any freedom of movement. In my case, the kitchen units are 100 cm apart, the entrance to the shower is 60 cm wide, and a normal door has an 80 cm passage width. Maybe you can check what would be suitable with such a distance. I probably wouldn't go below 80 if the garden allows it. That is sufficient so that if you are working too far, you can pass each other (without Corona safety distance :D) and it is enough to operate a tool at the shed or place a bucket without immediately falling over it. And if you want to use the side as a covered storage area, you can still move around there a bit.

Oh, I am also in favor of exemption. Actually, the bigger the garden, the bigger the distance can be. If you then plant two little trees on the left and right…. Otherwise: better 80 than 50. better 100 than 80. The wheelbarrow will thank you.

I would depend on what kind of person you are. First of all, I am against the "walking around" because with many (not all) garden owners it leads to storing "weird stuff" behind the garden shed where supposedly no one sees it. If the garden shed is nice, I would set it up away from the boundary and plant and beautify the "surroundings" just like the rest of the garden.
