Hello,
I hope I can find help here and that I am asking in the right area.

I have to place my house on the property and I am totally overwhelmed with it.
Size of the property: 599 sqm, WxL 18.96m x 26.04m
Slope: No slope
The property has no slope and no shading.
Site coverage ratio: 0.4 Floor area ratio: 0.8
Double carport with 5 x 5m is to be placed on it.
Gable roof 45°
1 story, attic developed
One half of the roof is to be equipped with a 9 kWp system.
3 people, planned 4
Geothermal heat pump

I hope I have all the necessary information, I made 2 sample sketches.

Best regards
David

I am in a hurry, so just quickly what caught my eye: why is the dining room planned so far away from the kitchen and not directly next to the kitchen? I would move the living area up and place the dining room next to the kitchen.

It is no wonder that you turn and twist the house without result - it is not tailored to the plot! The room layouts and even the window positions do not fit the SW location at all. Where is the access located? Or can you still choose whether S or W? You can turn and twist the house so that the entrance is either East, South, or West. I would exclude South anyway, but even with E or W you have no windows in the living area where the sun can shine in. Regards

So we can rotate the house however we want and also mirror it. We just don't know what is best there. I think if the roof surface were 30 degrees southwest, that would be best; the alternative would be to rotate the house by 90 degrees. Then the roof would be 50 degrees southeast. I think towards the neighbor above and a carport in between would be good, so there is little shading to the north.

Before you think about how much shade your house casts on the neighbor (very noble of you ;)), better consider the important point from ypg: The house does not fit the plot. You can turn it four times and be no wiser than before; at best, you have found the lesser evil.

We can still adjust the windows, that is not a problem. With adjustment of the windows, it is doable, right? I have created 2 sketches again. The room layout can also be changed, only the kitchen is always opposite the living room and the utility room opposite the guest room. Otherwise, I am currently at a loss.
