What is this whole thing supposed to cost and how many square meters are involved?

Hello halmi what it costs should not matter. The landscape gardener has submitted an offer. That should correspond to his calculation for a proper execution. The result is insufficient. At some point the first toe will give in. I assume that the landscape gardener (anyone can call themselves that) is overwhelmed with the execution. That will never work with him. I would overwhelm him with complaints. And plan for another landscape gardener to take over the execution. One who can do it. Steven

So, we already inquired, but probably unfortunately not enough.
It is a company from the region. There are no reviews online.
By now I also know that I bet on the wrong horse.

The job was already big:
- Paved area in front of the house
- Terraces
- Rough and fine grading of the lawn area
- Boundary to the neighbor, etc.

Price for paving including installation €45.25
Price for concrete slabs including installation €68.15

With the concrete slabs, what bothers us is that they "rattle." They rock slightly and you can hear it by the sound. It only affects a few slabs (about 10). The small terrace is firm. It is only on the main terrace.
Allegedly, this will go away over the years, according to them. But I find that questionable??

What bothers me about the paving is that the work was messy. Some of the stones have damage (color scraped off from vibrating, corners missing, holes in the surface). Is that normal or must one tolerate that?

The installation can also be debated. The house is angled to the street, which means we have wedges everywhere. Overall it also looks crooked.
The worst are the height differences to the runners laid in concrete. They couldn’t compact the wedges there, or the runner stone next to the garage was laid too deep.

Guys, what's wrong with them? Not a single joint fits properly. The height differences are also crazy. And no, the wobbling does not get better over time, that's just a typical craftsman myth again.

I'm sure you paid around 50,000 or so for that, and the work should at least be somewhat decent.

This is really one of the worst jobs I've ever seen in the outdoor area. Where do you live? I'll gladly come over, and we'll give the boss of this place a good talking to!!!!

Very clever tip, but it doesn’t help at all. Often self-assessments or none at all with craftsmen. Even verbal recommendations from individuals can be misleading, but are better than nothing.

To find good craftsmen, the only way is to track down satisfied customers yourself. Otherwise, they will always send you to the construction sites where there were no problems. I know that trick all too well!

Hello fortuneflake nothing goes away with the years. It gets worse over time. Paint scratched off from shaking? Corners missing? Did they shake it without rubber protection? They are beating around the bush and trying to evade responsibility. (You didn’t happen to commission my neighbor by any chance?) As much as it pains me: I would take the hard route. Complaint about defects with request for rectification. Bring an expert on board (it's still better than being annoyed about the botched job for years and then having someone else fix it) Have the rectifications checked by an expert and let someone who knows how fix the mess. Steven
