Well, chipping is appearance. The rest is a tripping hazard.

Hello fortuneflake,

maybe a small (but with us fine and helpful) tip:

Where did you buy the pavement?
Usually there is a customer service (field service) of the companies.
I would get them and hear what they say about the installation of their company's pavement.
That is also an effect for this company externally, when you are asked where you bought the pavement (already crumbling) ... etc.
It helped in our case anyway.
He told our installer on site what needed to be corrected so that it was installed properly.
All in front of us. Then he couldn't back out anymore and we spared ourselves (despite RS insurance) the further procedure with lawyer/expert report.

Good luck!

Rosemarie

when I already see how the curbstones are set in the 3rd photo in the opening post, I feel sick ops: The work is unacceptable. I would 1. not pay another cent and 2. hire an expert.

Hello,

yes, the tamper was here on Friday.
Some of the trip edges are now not so bad. He also replaced a few broken stones.

Still, I am not satisfied.

We have contacted the paving manufacturer, hope someone gets back to us.

Can someone tell me how the deadlines are regarding acceptance?
The work was finished last Wednesday, the rework on Friday.
Not that it is still considered a fictional acceptance.

I can't stand the guy anymore, he was so cheeky to us on the phone. We would search for every little flaw and are not competent. I actually just want to close with the company.

Such people are deliberately cheeky on the phone so that the customer settles for clenching their fist in their pocket. I would get a lawyer who can act as if he also forgot his manners.
