Hello,
parquet flooring was installed in our new apartment. Unfortunately, it now creaks regularly in 2-3 spots. I have not been able to determine an exact rhythm; sometimes it creaks several times in a row, but each spot creaks at least once a minute. This is very disturbing in the bedroom because it is not a subtle creaking. I read online that this can be normal at first and usually resolves over time? The parquet has been installed for almost two months now.
One spot creaks particularly strongly, but this calms down when I turn off the underfloor heating in the adjacent room. Of course, this is not a permanent solution, as I would like to have warm feet in the morning. I will definitely contact the parquet installer and/or the heating technician.
Has anyone had a similar case or any idea why it might be creaking? It seems to me that it only creaks where "heavy" furniture stands.
