I would be more bothered by the different texture than by the color difference, but I also would not have chosen this parquet. In the laying pattern you immediately see the "3-piece" elements. If wide tongue-and-groove elements are used, then also plank optics.
It simply costs too much money nowadays to accept something like this.
I neither know the price of the parquet floor nor the contractor. Therefore, I cannot agree with this general statement. Sometimes the client's "too much money" is also "too little money" for a quality solution. There are limits of respect for the respective counterpart in price setting. Whether this is the case here is unknown to me.
