We have installed corresponding LED spotlights in the roof box above. These are all connected to [BWM]. At the back on the terrace, the continuous light or complete shutdown is also wired. The carport is also controlled by a [BWM]. There is also an LED strip mounted hidden there. The [BWM] only reacts when I drive into the carport, get out, or take things out. It switches off after 45 seconds. All other [BWM]s also switch off after about 45 seconds. For us, a perfect solution. Low power consumption and we don’t "disturb" neighbors or other "complainers."

Spotlights in the roof box should generally be prohibited, just as any lighting that remains permanently on at night should be prohibited, i.e. not controlled by motion detectors. The only exception: spotlights in the roof box of a bungalow. If the roof box is higher, it is pointless light pollution, annoyance to neighbors, and a waste of electricity.

I am very surprised at how often bans (in all areas) are demanded nowadays. I thought we were all responsible, very unfortunate, very unfortunate, I have no more to say about it and can only shake my head.

What does maturity have to do with it when my immediate neighbors leave 16 LED spots burning in their roof box all night? Alternatively, I could put 9m of chicken coops on the property line, but then there would be an uproar...

Well, his money, his costs, his decision. I can understand if his LED floodlights annoy you (luckily I don’t have such an a.... as a neighbor) but that is a problem between you two. That doesn’t mean it has to be banned for everyone in general. It’s not specifically about your post now, but it is generally happening much more, not just in this forum, which is quite alarming.

That's not what it's about. There are simply many things "nobody needs." (And they don't help anyone either when you show off your wavy plastered facade.):D
