C - then you can build a nice sheltered seating area to the southwest. In the roof to the south, maximum width dormers so that desks can be placed there in the children's rooms. Southwest the bathroom and utility room with washing machine - then you can hang laundry and iron on the garage roof.

I think you should take another look at the development plan for that. And in § 6 paragraphs 4 and 5 of the Bavarian Building Code: "The depth of the setback areas is 1 H, at least 3 m." Does the development plan allow exceptions to this?

I haven't explicitly found anything in the development plan except an entry regarding retaining walls:
"Visible retaining walls are only permitted for structural and terrain-related reasons, max. height 1.50 m. They must have a distance of at least 3.00 to the property boundary and must be landscaped with underplanting or planting of overhanging species".

From that I have my distance of 3m left and right, meaning 6m garage, 12m house width, 3m distance left neighbor, 3m distance right neighbor, total = 24m on a 25m wide plot. Should work, or am I overlooking something?

Hi!

I voted for B.

E/W roof orientation / solar.
Regarding maximum yield (feed-in), you will lose about 5-10% compared to south.

Concerning the possible optimization of self-consumption (which makes sense since feed-in tariffs are low and decreasing), E/W is not bad, on the contrary.

Our collector for thermal solar is exactly east-facing. It still works well when the sun shines (today it has already generated 3 kWh).

The upcoming solar system (photovoltaic) will have 15 panels east, 13 west.
About 2*3.7 kWp with a small 2 kWh buffer battery.

Best regards
Thorsten

Hi!

I voted for B.

E/W roof orientation / solar.
Regarding maximum yield (feed-in), you will lose 5-7% compared to south.

Concerning the possible optimization of self-consumption (sensible, since feed-in compensation is low and decreasing), E/W is not bad, on the contrary.
You don’t necessarily have the full peak power around noon, but it is spread over the day.

Our collector for thermal solar is exactly east-oriented.
The upcoming solar system (photovoltaic) will have 15 panels east, 13 west.
About 2*3.7 kWp with a small 2 kWh buffer battery.
PS: Just found out, the system will be installed next Wednesday.

Best regards
Thorsten
