Then share the values here in the coming days and let people respond here. Before that, it's just a waste of time. Beyond a certain height, it simply makes no sense to build with a slab foundation. Because it has to be founded frost-free, your monster slab foundation in the making will not be cheaper than a basement in terms of costs. But you only know that once the slope is known.

OK I understand.. and hope that it stays the way we imagine.. then I will do the same when I have the values, thank you very much!

If no dimensions are given in the draft, I wouldn’t even entertain an offer. You have to know whether the living room is 3, 4 or 5 meters wide or what the calculation is based on! Basically, you don’t like anything. So, start completely anew. By the way, I don’t like it either. The draft left me speechless this afternoon. I don’t understand the roof terrace at all. It costs relatively much, and you have enough "levels" to maintain because of the slope. Besides, I wonder how anyone comes up with the idea to build a fancy view with a roof terrace when they have a child... I always thought there’s no time for something like that? A rather unusual building envelope... but well, not a disaster. I see a hillside house, single-story: On the ground floor, entrance, stairs, etc., at the back, so west-north in the L the all-purpose room. Terrace in the west-north. Possibly the children’s room in the southwest, have to see. With a shed roof can also go east. Then stairs to the basement: there utility room, dressing room, bedroom and office in the east. Possibly offset shed roof, allowing light from the southwest to be led into the eastern part of the ground floor. Timber construction is very well suited for the third-gable building. I consider this draft nonsense and exploitation of the plot.

@ ypg

The measurements were on the plan when it was presented online, but not on the one that was emailed to us, probably an oversight? I will ask about it tomorrow.

The roof terrace, as mentioned, was not our idea but it looked nice on the render and plan, so we thought, a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, I have no idea how expensive it will be, we/we need a floor plan to calculate that.

So, the slope is an issue where everyone who has been on the property so far has said it can be fixed with filling and no basement is needed. Either we will get a shock after the survey or the photos really present it differently. Hopefully, this will be clarified this week.

We actually didn’t consider living with one floor plus basement because we didn’t even have that idea. I will ask the company tomorrow if and how something like that could be planned, thank you! But just so I understand correctly, this is only possible if there is a certain slope/because of the slope, right?

Otherwise, we have only heard good things about the company and so far have a good feeling about them, maybe we unconsciously missed the “tell us your wishes/ideas” appointment.

Whether one needs it or not - it is a) more sensible, because you do have the slope after all, and b) more living quality on the 2 levels without an artificial roof terrace. The only problem I see, and which can also be the reason why a basement is advised against (aside from the fact that often the sole aim is not to scare a builder off with the topic of a basement), is that the construction company builds with wood and the basement cannot be executed with wood on 3 sides. Here is a quick example without much thought (so still lots of optimization potential)

wow thank you very much! I really like the exterior design/view and the living/dining area. We would swap the placement of the children's room and the office simply because I want the child to be on the same floor – for example, for nighttime walks to the parents' room, but for a "quick" draft it is really cool, thanks.
