that is also my experience. a good friend of mine is an architect and therefore sees himself as a creative (which he is). He would rather cut off his leg than let himself be interfered with by too many concrete specifications...

But in the end isn’t it MY HOUSE? You know, like I pay the money and then it should be the way I like it? Just saying as a layman, a bit provocatively.. :D

Sure, it is your house, or rather the bank's house :), but the architect signs for it. If the house later "doesn't work," meaning it contains planning errors that might be okay for you but would massively bother someone else, it ultimately goes back to the architect. Because if you can no longer pay, and the bank has to sell the house but cannot due to the planning errors, I don't know if an architect can be held liable for that.

Hello,

Of course it should be the way you like it. If the architect designs something and you don’t like it, then he just has to do it again..........
Unfortunately, it’s just the case that design laymen forget or don’t consider many things.
What comes out are floor plans that don’t work and often don’t harmonize with the elevations.

Best regards
