I don’t find the floor plan that bad at all, but I would reconsider and possibly change a few small things. I think the two halves of the house have too large a difference. They don’t seem to fit together. This could be changed by having a lower knee wall in the two-story part or a higher one in the one-story part. To convey that while the number of floors is maintained, both parts come closer together. Or alternatively change the roof pitch if the development plan allows it. The windows could also be improved to bring some tension into the facade. I don’t like the “corner arrangement.” From the window in the living room, you will only see the neighboring building, but there will probably still be light coming in at night. That is why I would equip this, like the office and other rooms, with ribbon windows (provided you like them). Advantages: light, yet no views inside and no unsightly views (e.g. also north and east). Or a double door on the west instead of the corner window. Kitchen: plan a terrace door (where the stove is now) for a short way to the terrace. Especially at the sloping roof, you can bring tension with windows without symmetry. Also in the cloakroom, if the cupboard is to stand as planned, I would like a fixed floor-to-ceiling window. However, I would place the cupboard on the south wall and swap the window next to the door, i.e., arrange it in the cloakroom. Interior doors: leave 65 cm of space to the right of the office door so that there is enough space for the TV. I like the seating area (as I already said, without this double window). Behind the kitchen door, I would plan kitchen cabinets. For this, the kitchen entrance would have to be moved. Communicate the bathroom door and shower so that there is still storage space for a cupboard or chest of drawers in the small hallway. Where will your outdoor trash area be? The covered corner of the house is suitable here, but I would avoid it because of the entrance, which should be inviting. Will a car be parked under the roof? I hope not, because the entrance area can be designed really nicely as an inner courtyard. I would design the roof of the one-story part to be open, then the living area has a small stylish air space. The other rooms also benefit from the spaciousness. Possibly a roof window could be planned in the bathroom, so no one can look inside and you have more storage options. Your bathroom will also be for guests, so I would plan the toilet and washbasin in the front area so that guests don’t have to walk through the whole bathroom. Those were just some quick ideas from me. Regards, Yvonne I would feel really comfortable there. Edit says: the corner variations do not provide the amount of light in the room as if you arrange windows parallel or further away from the corner. They only result in the width of the diagonal of light quantity given by the isosceles triangle (of the two windows).
