... with the next house I want that too :D

Oh no, because of a Schwibbogen phobia and I-like-some-things-without-holes-and-sockets I withdraw the general power of attorney and say: if I had known about the problem, I would have done it differently ;)

No, I don’t have a back problem, just as little as I have slanted platforms in the bathroom or a stuffy setup with a closed kitchen: for our single-family house, exactly one socket in the hallway is enough to let the vacuum cleaner circle around. But the real reason: I don’t like touching sockets when I am feeling for the light switch.

Really?? I thought I was weird because I don’t like many things, but I guess I wouldn’t care as long as the switch or the socket looks neat. I’m probably more of a Bauhaus fan, true to "form follows back," in case someone ever assigns that to me. Tsk tsk tsk... these young ones, no idea about age-related ailments... planning a 3-meter turning radius everywhere in the house for the lowered walker in old age but bending down for the socket. Have you planned staff to help you back up again?

Really? I always find it interesting why someone does something. Good to know that you are not the only one with such "quirks" . That's exactly why you have your own house, because you don't have to explain anything there and can just do as you please. It's exactly this kind of individuality that I often look for here among all the sameness. Maybe someone should start a thread about it.......

Oh, may I ask about the brand and satisfaction? My Rowenta is not popular with my wife; she believes it should be able to vacuum up whole pieces of kitchen paper (from the dog) and leaves (from her plants). She firmly claims that a Dyson can do this. I wonder if it can sing or if Dyson is just good at advertising. The company boss is so unlikeable to me that I would rather avoid any purchase...

I don't like this company, completely overpriced for an E9 salary. The thing is heavy too, isn't it? We have an agile AEG CX7 - my husband regularly pulls out endless amounts of dust (where does the vacuum get it from?), but it can't work magic either. Good purchase! Remember the power outlets!
