keep cool!

There are still craftsmen in the country who don't have to finance a Porsche.

But apparently, the customers in some places are already well trained.

With us, it is currently the case that the preferred craftsmen of the architect offer normal prices with a 5% discount/early payment discount, as is customary in the industry. These are good companies with experience who know that there are ups and downs. And when things are going up, it's better to swallow your arrogance, otherwise you forget who the real friends are... that may be a bit blunt, but that's exactly how we are seeing it here in NRW right now. There is fear that the boom is coming to an end and people are turning to old friendships. Especially in the construction industry, total collapse often follows wealth.
Our architects also say this very clearly, as they are currently in a bit of a dilemma because they have to provide somewhat binding cost estimates: These are based on price indications from known companies. If six months later, when the order is imminent, they start acting up, they are removed from the list. In tighter times, that means they die.

btw. we have already had six-figure heating system offers from southern Germany that were easily 50% overpriced. But if it is paid ...

I read "bla, blabla, bla, blabla"... The only thing that has been stupid so far is writing such an unconstructive post. So, what do you suggest with your knowledge of furniture? By the way, I don’t care at all what material it is, as long as it is suitable and durable for the intended use. And the above-mentioned furniture from the Swedish furniture store performs exceedingly well here. They have been hanging there for 8 years and still look like new. So where exactly is your problem now? People, seriously *shakes head*
