The question I ask myself is, why is the community not interested in a partial demolition? After all, at least the larger part would be gone then. Even if there was only grass there afterwards, it would look better at first. Why are they being so stubborn there?

The community simply follows the regulations strictly, I think...

Yes, what else is she supposed to do? And a partial demolition order is pointless, then the order should be for total demolition, for hazard prevention. And that causes trouble with the neighbor if he wants to keep everything as it is. Objection, possibly lawsuit, expert report.....

I don't care, he is suing the building authority and the order, not me. And any reasonable expert will immediately confirm the risk of collapse. I prefer that it takes time rather than sitting on a property my whole life that cannot be utilized.

I can't imagine that there isn't a way. A clever lawyer might know something. If you look at the matter logically, the renovation is uneconomical. Buildings and land become unusable if the municipality does not approve the partial demolition. That would be equivalent to expropriation....

Apart from that, if someone reports a danger of collapse - no matter who - they have to take a look. It is a danger after all! If children are playing there etc. - that is just not acceptable. If they are on site, I would immediately offer demolition and then see what they themselves think.
