Well, what are you supposed to do when the neighbor turns almost every night into day? It's noise disturbance after all. Do I have to put up with it because the police roll their eyes? And what does "I'll tell my mom" mean? What would you do in my situation? When my neighbor's husband died, 1500 people came for the funeral visit within a short period. You can't imagine what it was like here. It lasted for weeks. Parked everywhere, in all driveways, sidewalks, streets.... now the head of the family is dead and the sons are rulers of the garden. I'd gladly switch places with you. So who do I turn to when I can't sleep at night because of the noise.

I think the Stasi should be reactivated ...

Exactly, there was no such thing back then. Anyone who said "pips" too loudly even once had to show up immediately at the ABV and give a public statement.

do you have a clan as neighbors? Then the police will surely be happy to come. Joking aside. I'm sorry. Sounds complicated. There are only two options. Either use all legal remedies (and live with the probable consequences) or look for something new. The clans have money. Maybe they still need a house for the family. I know many whose neighborhoods are too noisy, feel too unsafe, or have too many citizens with a migration background. They all look for new houses or apartments.

It's probably not a clan in that sense. Although from the conversations I can only understand Jobcenter. For the rest, I actually have to learn a new language. For personal reasons, we cannot move away. Maybe when the parents-in-law no longer live here. Yes, it is complicated. Although they are not unfriendly. They just suffer from dementia when it comes to time and are deaf when it comes to volume. But I am persistent when it comes to remembering. There have always been citizens with a migration background here, but they are quite special.

The police are justified here. Clan could also be an option... phew, I wouldn't want to switch.
