I would probably do it that way too, Kerstin. What do you mean by labeled driveway?

At the top it says Driveway 2 and on the left Driveway 1

Regarding the initial draft:
It would be too boring for me and from the outside far too generic.

Architecturally, I would orient myself towards (Google):
Schöner Wohnen - hillside house with stacked building volumes.

Planning material and floor plan are available for download.
Whether it would fit into the building envelope would still need to be checked.

I am also torn about it. The building mass does not appeal to me visually at all. The roof will look completely warped. Nothing on the facade is accentuated. Just as you can use color tricks with interiors, you can also do so with the facade. I also see cladding, for example with wood on the second floor, so that the height does not appear so massive and shapeless visually. Besides, I am of the opinion that all the personal tinkering is fun and possible even with a standard house, but here it is very harmful. An architect gives you possibilities, including an exemption permit regarding the boundary building or crossing the so-and-so boundary; at least he gets the best out of the single-story aspect. For example, one could actually build over the entire triangle and omit the protruding corner on the ground floor in the upper floor. That way you also get more height on the upper floor and no problems with the bathroom door. I would be so bold as to draw something, but I have problems with the dimensions of the building window. Basically, I do not see a solid construction here, but rather timber construction to save something on the exterior walls. It would also be helpful to know if Melanie prefers the country house style or the chrome-steel look ;)

Kbt draft, cool!! That’s roughly how I imagined it. I think it’s a great starting point.

Hello,
I wouldn’t do it completely without room dividers either.
I took half an hour for myself.
This is roughly how I would try to realize it.
Always put important rooms in the south because of the sun. Windows also facing the sun.
Since money is not an issue for you, I didn’t exactly skimp on window area.

Southeast view. Here are the window areas.

East has fewer windows.

Small kitchen with a small island which is also used for eating (although I would eat on the sofa). Stove and refrigerator on the wall. Dishwasher and sink in the island. Everything that is not necessary goes into the storage/utility room.
A cloakroom would be important to me, so that shoes and jackets are not lying around everywhere.
Living room and the view clearly to the south.

There isn’t much to say about the upper floor; it’s self-explanatory. The guest room could be a bit larger. But then the mighty and inviting window would have to be smaller.

I did not consider the basement. I would place the garage in the north so that the southern property remains free for grill, garden, etc.

If one knew what your priorities are, it could possibly be better adapted to you.
For me, living room and bedroom are the most important, hence their greatest significance.

Hope I could help or at least provide another perspective.

Regards
Red-Ed
