The shift away from fossil fuels and the self-sufficiency of single-family homes is being promoted. In addition, the infrastructure and the costs of developing the construction areas also play a role. And they are not that bad if the entire concept is right.

I don’t know who managed to permanently link the combination of heat pump + photovoltaic (possibly even without storage) with the term "autarkic," but: he is/was a genius.

Certainly, autarkic is meant in the sense of "national autarky," less in the sense of "private autarky."

Probably the one who makes the most money from it.

What about an air-to-air heat pump?

I've already heard from many sides that it is ultimately the most effective and cheapest system. Added to that are a short reaction time and a cooling function.

There must certainly be a reason why a giant like Stiebel Eltron is investing in Zimmermann (= manufacturer of Proxxon).

In addition, many of the major single-family home manufacturers (Weberhaus, Bien-Zenker) install Proxxon in their standard packages. They certainly wouldn’t do that if the system was rubbish and they were expecting many complaints...
