New property tax 2022 what is coming to us

I'm curious to see what will come out of the whole thing. I have all the data - except for the living space calculation, I have to measure the old plans from 1964. But I will only provide a rough estimate anyway since the house will be demolished at the end of the year and a new building will be constructed. Does anyone already have information on what to do then? Late registration?

We have not been able to submit our declaration so far because we kept getting kicked out. However, after the vacation, we want to complete it. Our house was sold to us with 100m2. It is quite possible that it is somewhat less, especially since we have added much thicker insulation upstairs. In the declaration, there are buildings/apartments up to 59, up to 99, etc., in square meters. Ours would then be in the category from 100. Is that somehow disadvantageous, does anyone know? Or should I measure again in case it is actually less? It is an old building after all, so it wouldn’t be quick and easy. By the way, our district supposedly does not exist, even though it is listed exactly like that in the land register, and our parcel according to the principle 10h/8f etc. it also does not want to recognize. It’s so incredibly annoying. I’m about to ask the tax office for a print version because we simply cannot submit it like this. Aaaand our house has undergone renovations over the last 101 years, many by us, but also some by the previous owner, whom we do not know. Now comes the question about the comprehensive renovation. By definition, it is not comprehensively renovated, but almost. And when something was done, we only know about what we have done in the last 5 years...

The new assessment notice arrived for me yesterday. New property tax value 405,000 euros...waiting to see what payments will come our way from 2025.

We have even already received the notice that instead of 56,xx€ per quarter, it will cost 82.89€ starting from 01.01.2025

For an empty plot, I assume? That's very little.

The changes that some people report here probably have nothing to do with the [Grundsteuerreform] yet. Those are more likely tax increases because the municipality raised the multiplier.

How can you receive a notice when it is not yet clear how the calculation will be done from 2025? You are confusing something. Yes, the measurement amount is out – I also already have a few letters here as a basis for 2025. If I assume the same multiplier as before, the new property tax would be about 20-25% lower. But who knows what will happen in 2025.
